Photography Homework about Exposure
Sorry for the late update. I have been swamp with work, school, my Mom, my other modeling gig and all kinds of things to do. I have been hoping something would happen at work like the power will be down or something like that where I can just go home and catch some sleep :P
Many thanks to all you readers who gave me all these encouragment to do better on my next assignments. I LOVE your comments whether you have anything postive or negative to say about it.
My latest photography homework is about exposures. Can you please tell me which of the following 6 photos got the best exposure and which one got the worst? Also, what's the best way to tell exposures? Do you use the meter reading? I need to hear your comments in order to improve myself better. Yes, be harsh & I can take it!!! Also, do you guys know any good website that tells you how to calibrate our monitor? All pictures look a bit on the brighter side on my PC computers at work, but darker on my monitor in school using Mac.
1) Steering Wheel
2) an Abandon Car
4) Junk Yard

5) an Abandon speed boat
6) Watering Hoses

WoW, the last one, watering hoses, the color is so sharp and nice.....make my eye keeping on the red.
@DeLun_gOr_gOr - Thanks for looking ah DeLun Gor Gor !! So funny everytime I type your name!!!! Your name should be "Dylan" for Delun !! LOL!
@liclicbride - o........you don't know gar la. that is my real Chinese name spelling.
what's this class you're taking? i want to take a photography class too. i need to learn about exposure and all that good stuff.
hey zabrina.. love the photos esp in b&w. i'm not sure about exposure either but #2 and #4 seems a bit bright in my opinion. i could be wrong tho.. hope you are learning lots! i plan to practice on my sister's camera this weekend and she has the rebel xti. love the last photo - the bright red is just the pop of color to add to the photo. =)
@JonasApproved - I am taking a night introductory class in a near by JC. I compared prices around and found that taking class @ a JC is the cheapest option (about $100 for 4-5 units, 2-3 hrs/day and 2 days/week for 4 months). I think CCSF should have something like that. Especially at night, you can just go to class after work.
@liclicbride - thanks. what is the name of this class?
@JonasApproved - Oh sorry! Introduction to Digital SLR (or Introduction to Digital Photography).
I personally like the Watering Hoses. ;)
#1 seems the best out of all of them.
The middle ones all seem to have a bit of overexposure.
How hosey!
Hah. Sorry, I don't know what exposure is. :x Heh. Li is also my father's name. :p
*random comment*...
nice shots.. as far as exposure, number 6 ..my favorite out of those in general is number 4
I'm taking a digital photography course this semester so I find your photos inspiring. We haven't gotten that far in the class yet. This week was only the second week of class.
~1~
have to agree with melbride: 2 & 4 are a bit bright, and maybe 5 as well. no.6 is the best, followed by no.1.
i don't have a great knowledge in photography terminology so i suppose any advice i can offer is limited to some 6th sense or whatever... hope you don't mind, zabrina!
#2 & #4 are a bit overexposed, but the photography angle is great!! YOu def have talent.
I like #6 the most :)
Thanks for stopping by! Less than 1 more week to go! Best luck to you!!
sweet old stuff =)
